Karen has been teaching painting and drawing for over 20 years and just loves the challenge students bring her. Karen's work reflects the variety of subject matter and techniques which are required to teach students the techniques to fulfill their goals

Karen's Gallery
Karen King's gallery is designed to showcase some of her many painted pieces. The slide show is designed to give you an idea of the large diversity of subjects and styles which are created in her studio. Karen's studio is a very busy one with over 9 classes per week and 100 plus students attending the many classes, workshops and courses. The subject matter and style she paints is "student driven" and her paintings are a direct response from requests by her students. Students often request particular styles and / or subjects which they would like to learn about which Karen then designs which will cover their request. Karen says "I have several passions myself which I love to paint and they are impressionist oil painting, botanical water colours, animal portraits in pastels and more recently drawing. The freedom abstracts give me and working in mixed media is so therapeutic". Karen has had the opportunity to paint large wall murals for apartments and various commission pieces. She is a founding member of COMA (The Collaboration of Maleny Artists) and participates in their numerous exhibitions.
